Maker’s Mark 2020 Wood Finishing Series Bourbon is the second in the series release and focuses on warm flavors of caramel and vanilla.
This release is particularly special as it marks the 10-year anniversary of the bourbon that started it all: Maker’s Mark 46®.Starting with a barrel of fully matured Maker’s Mark at cask strength that is then inserted 10 seared virgin French oak staves – stave profile 46 – into the barrel and finished the bourbon for nine additional weeks in our limestone cellar. The result is a remarkably smooth, yet distinctly bolder and more complex whisky.
Notes: Smooth, medium-bodied. Aromas and flavors of butter pecan, vanilla, and caramel.
