Founded in the late 1820's by Pierre-August Boulard, this celebrated apple-based spirit is unique to the Normandy region of France. Over 120 varieties of apple, from the 800 varieties grown in Boulard's orchards are pressed, fermented and distilled before they age the brandy in french oak for a minimum of 4 years to give it both its hue and complexity. What makes Calvados Boulard VSOP exceptionally better is the culmination of flavors that is produced from blending different Calvados Pays d'Auge that are 4 to 10 years old.
