The Meukow House was founded in the 19th century by two brothers, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow. Sent to France by Tsar Alexander II of Russia with orders to secure a supply of cognac for the Court, the brother's decided to setup their own office.

The perfect balance between power and suppleness that is the result of the dedication of Cellar Master. Anne Sarteaux. Her success comes from keeping true to the ancestral traditions and expertise that has been transmitted from generation to generation.

Following the double distillation of the wine, the Cellar Master carefully selects the eaux-de-vie that will then be aged in oak barrels for at least two years. These eaux-de-vie come from the six different regions that form the cognac AOC (French Protected Designation of Origin): Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Bons Bois, Fins Bois, Borderies and Bois Ordinaires.

To guarantee the inimitable Meukow style, Anne Sarteaux mainly uses Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne Cognacs, which are notable for the rich complexity of their floral notes, as well as Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Borderies, which provide fruity aromas and woody qualities that will bring a perfect balance to the blend.

The remarkable quality of Meukow VSOP Superior was awarded several times in the most prestigious competitions and tastings around the world. Its incredible roundness is the fruit of the meticulous selection of eaux-de-vie entering in its blend and the minimum aging requirement which is one year longer than the traditional VSOP. The richness and the delicacy of Meukow VSOP Superior aromas, and the power of its mellow tannins are outstanding.

Priced at an affordable rate, this is a great option for someone looking to try something new.
