Using a family recipe since 1897, Nonino Amaro is created from the union of Antonio Nonino’s ancient recipe with the Nonino Family’s experience in distillation. Classified as a digestif, Nonino Amaro is made in Fruili, in northern Italy. A grappa based liquor that infused with a blend of many herbs, spices and roots, including gentian, saffron, licorice, rhubarb, sweet and bitter orange, tamarind, quassia bark, chinchona bark, and galenga, among other things. Aged in oak barrels for over 5 years to extract all the flavors this digestif is used in a wide variety of cocktails.
