Winemaker, Bob carries on this same spirit in each bottle 1000 Stories Bourbon Barrel Aged Zinfandel by aging the wine in new bourbon barrels. What started as an experiment quickly became a passion.
Using grapes sourced from premium vineyards throughout Mendocino County, California, this Zinfandel was then aged in traditional French and American oak wine barrels and partially finished in new bourbon barrels. This unique barrel aging process imparts unique notes of burnt sugar, vanilla, dried herbs, and even a touch of smokiness to the dark fruit forward flavors for an exceptional sip.
Notes: Dry, full-bodied. Aromas and flavors of vanilla, dried herbs, caramel, and clove.
