The Wagner Family might as well be wine royalty, known for producing some of the finest California Wines, Joe Wagner carries on the tradition with his Quilt Collection.
A fifth generation Napa Valley winemaker, Joe Wagner, began work for his Father at Caymus Vineyard's when he was 19. It was there he gained the hands on experience and knowledge that the Wagner Family has become so famous for.
Producing such brands as Belle Glos, Elouan, Beran, Böen, Carne Humana, and Steorra. A newer addition to his portfolio is the Quilt Collection. Quilt wines is a true expression of Joe's love for the region and the natural elements that help cultivate the area.
Quilt Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has a distinct approach to create balance by marrying the weight and firm tannins of the mountains with the supple fruit forward notes of the valley floor.
While the wine undergoes and extended maceration it is constantly re-evaluated and tweaked before it is stored in small French oak barrels (70% new oak, 30% seasoned). The result? A Cabernet Sauvignon whose breadth and structure is complemented by a supple, velvety mouthfeel, that coats the mouth with satisfying tannins and a long finish.
Notes: Dry, full-bodied. Aromas and flavors of currant coffee, vanilla, plum, baking spices and wild berry
Pairings: Kielbasa, Short Ribs, Sharp Cheddar
Serving Suggestions: Room temperature
Region California
Alcohol Content: 15%
