Barefoot started its humble beginnings in 1965, by winemaker Davis Bynum with his garage made Burgunday. Named for the free-spirited method of crushing grapes barefoot, this winery doesn't take itself too seriously, but rather aims to enjoy life as much as possible.Rebranding in 1986 to Barefoot Cellars, under the direction of Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey, this quirky brand has left an impression for all those who partake. Among those wines is their Barefoot Merlot, which has a good concentration of off-dry flavor that still remains soft and easy to drink.
