Bathed in warm sunshine the majority of the day, to yield the most ripe, sun-kissed fruit flavors in the grapes it's no wonder California grapes produce some of the best wines. In particular a vineyard of note is Berginer. From vine to glass, the grapes are handled with careful attention and Beringer Chenin Blanc is no exception. To retain the delicate Chenin Blanc flavors, the winemakers chill the juices immediately following crush and continue to closely monitor the temperature throughout fermentation. Then they cool the juices even further to halt fermentation and retain a smooth, lush mouthfeel.
