Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur made from ume fruit, which is often confused for plum. Although, the fruit resembles a plum it's much more tart and citrusy in flavor. So why do they call it a plum wine? We have no idea, but we can tell you that the flavor is unique and refreshing.
