Corralejo tequila has a long standing history within the Tequila world as it dates back to 1775. Unlike most tequila's the agave used in Corralejo's blend is not harvested from Jalisco, but rather from Pénjamo Guanajuato one of the very few places outside of the state of Jalisco to produce tequila. It is also the home of Corralejo distillery, which is still made on the now former hacienda of Corralejo.
