Corralejo tequila has a long standing history within the Tequila world as it dates back to 1775. Unlike most tequila's the agave used in Corralejo's blend is not harvested from Jalisco, but rather from Pénjamo Guanajuato one of the very few places outside of the state of Jalisco to produce tequila. It is also the home of Corralejo distillery, which is still made on the now former hacienda of Corralejo.
Unaged, Corralejo Silver Tequila is considered "the truth" as it best captures the authentic character of the Blue Weber Agave that Tequila is made from; straight from the copper pot still and into the bottled this tequila is semi-sweet and has a long finish.
