Established in 1809 by Emmanuel Courvoisier and Louis Gallois, Courvoisier began initially a wine and spirits company. The partners branched out to create a cognac line, but it wasn't until Napoleon III requested it by name that Courvoisier gained any traction.
Courvoisier X.O. Cognac is a selection of over 40 beautifully matured eaux de vie, aged from 11 to 25 years, which includes Grande Champagne, a touch of Petite Champagne and Borderies.
