With a history spanning over 340 years, this brewery's sake was a favorite of the Tokugawa shogunate. Brewed in Hokkaido, the northernmost island in Japan, Otokoyama uses water from Mt Daisetsu, literally meaning “lots of snow.” The ice water along with crisp cold air in harsh climate of Hokkaido translates into the dry and sharp taste of sake.
Brewed using a blend of Hinohikari and Yumetsukushi sake brewing rice, Hizo Otokoyama Extra Dry Sake is robust and crisp with a rice-forward palate and as the name suggests it is dry.
Notes: Dry, medium-bodied. Aromas and flavors of citrus, rice and lilies
Pairings: BBQ pork, sushi, fruits
Serving Suggestions: Chilled
