The secret behind Lobos Tequila stems from a chance incident when one of the founder's great-great-grandfather was transporting tequila to Spain in Sherry barrels. Upon arrival the tequila had noticeably transformed into a more refined and elegant tequila.
Made from 100% blue Weber agave, that are slowly cooked for several hours in a stainless-steel autoclave with additional steam hydration. The liquid is then extracted, fermented, and distilled twice in traditional discontinuous stills, producing a pure Tequila with an exquisite bouquet. The liquid is then aged for 3 years in American white oak and finished in PX wine barrels for an ultra-smooth sipping tequila.
