Despite the high demand for tequila, Ocho Tequila is one of the few tequilas made the old fashioned way-- patiently.
The first tequila to designate both the year it was produced and the precise field from which the agaves were harvested. Why such an elaborate method? Each field contributes to the distinctive characteristics of that region and deserves recognition.
Deeply ingrained in the history of the distillery is numerological pattern. The number of years agaves need to fully ripen, the number of kilograms of agave needed to produce a liter of tequila, the number of days it takes from harvesting to bottle--eight. How could they name it anything else?
Aged in ex-American Whiskey barrels for 8 weeks and 8 days and made with 100% Blue Agave, Ocho Tequila Reposado is full of more mature flavors than the blanco but not quite as robust as the anejo. Full of warmth and spice this tequila is one of the few truly artisan tequilas left on the market.
Notes: Strong, medium-bodied. Aromas and flavors vanilla, agave, oak and cinnamon
Pairings: Prawns, ribs, wild rice
Serving Suggestions: On the rocks or mixed into your favorite cocktail
Region: Mexico
Alcohol Content: 40%
