Dating back to 1882, Old Grand Dad aka Basil Hayden was the known for his high rye bourbon recipe which he passed down to his son, who inevitably passed it down to his son Colonel R.B. Hayden. Paying homage to his roots, Colonel Hayden named this batch of traditional bourbon Old Grand Dad. Often overlooked this bourbon is surprisingly smooth and worth every dime, at least for now.
