Before the Armenian Genocide in the early 20th century, the Kaprielian ancestors owned 11 vineyards in Western Armenia. Based off of a childhood dream of one day reviving the family tradition on Armenian soil the new generation planted a stake in Artsakh on 30 hectares of land in Banadzor village near the south-eastern province of Hadrut.
Takri, which fittingly means “roots” in the Artsakh dialect, symbolizing the family’s return to ancestral origins.
Made from 100% Sireni grapes that are hand harvested and hand sorted, Takri Reserve Sireni Red wine is aged 12 months in stainless steel tanks for a wine with soft palate of berries.
