The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old forms part of our Double Cask range which marries the classic Macallan style and the unmistakable sweetness of American oak. Following distillation, The Macallan distillers remove the heads and tails of the whisky and collect 16% of the spirit to fill into casks for maturation. This "cut," which is among the highest of any Scottish distillery, results in a more full-bodied and and rich whisky. Aged for twelve years in Oloroso Sherry-seasoned oak casks to delivered an exquisitely rich and complex flavor profile full of dried fruit, opulent vanilla and warm spice.
